A Journey into Health
Arati Lane was born and raised in Germany. As a young girl she longed for a deeper connection to all that surrounded her, the sky, stars, moon and sun, animals, the whole world, far-away places, languages, and people. She embraced the path of a healer and continues to do so today. She has helped thousands of people find their way to a healthy life style by integrating yogic and Ayurveda principles into their lives.
As a young woman, Arati traveled around most of Europe. When her travels led her to Southeast Asia, her quest became more spiritual. She spent time in a monastery in Thailand where she experienced yoga. She felt as if she remembered it from other lifetimes. After living in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, she was weary of being a foreigner. She returned to Europe, and had a a near-death experience caused by an automobile accident.
She began her healing journey, and the journey of a healer also began. To heal her body she used alignment yoga, and light work to heal her soul. After traveling to Vienna, Los Angeles, Arati settled in New York City to study acting, performing, and yoga. She studied with Jivamukti, and took the Sivananda yoga teacher training in an Ashram in upstate New York.
After she completed training in children’s and teens yoga in Canada, Arati went to India for years of deep study in India under different gurus. She began deepening her understanding of authentic Indian style yoga, yogic philosophy, Vedanta, moving into mantra, murti, and direct experience of the Divine.
Arati then traveled to the jungles of Central America and visited the ancient sites of the Maya and Inca civilizations. She settled in San Diego and taught yoga in various yoga studios for over 20 years. She taught workshops and teachers training, partners yoga. After the birth of her son, she devoted herself to teaching pre- and pos-tnatal yoga, infant massage, baby and me yoga, and prenatal couples yoga for labor. She still works with women and newborns in the yoga program at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital in San Diego.
When Arati’s young son was diagnosed with Asthma, ADHD, and learning disabilities, she took charge of healing her son and began studying Ayurveda. Changes in food and lifestyle not only reduced symptoms, but healed both of them. She began to deepen the path of healing with Ayurveda, yoga, mantra, music, breathing, relaxation, meditation, and light work.
Arati is very passionate about helping people to find their way to health. She is deeply intuitive and observant. She uses her gifts to help people to move into their self-empowerment and independence in physical, emotional, and mental health.
Peace of mind is happiness. Health is Wealth. Yoga and Ayurveda show the way! Om Shanti.
